About Anna

I qualified as a nurse in 1991; however, from the outset, I was drawn to working in more holistic areas of health. In my twenties, I had struggled with persistent verrucae. I tried a variety of over-the-counter treatments with no success. One session with a professional homeopath cured the problem completely but also gave me an unexpected boost in well-being and positivity. This kick-started the energy to change my career and led me initially towards studying Psychology. In order to sustain my studies, I worked as an agency nurse, ending up as a senior nurse in cardiac procedures. In 1997, I achieved a First-class degree in Psychology from the University of East London, but my plan to pursue postgraduate study was changed as I became a mother. I left London for Sussex to be closer to family for support and started a life in Worthing.

As a single parent, I did experience episodes of depression. My parents had separated and both moved overseas. Likewise, being away from my London community led to feelings of isolation, which contributed to the depression. However, homeopathic treatments would always give me a profound sense of meaning and reconnection with purpose, let alone quick responses for physical ailments. I was fortunate to study my first professional homeopathic course in 2006, and by the end of that course, I was tremendously empowered, strong, and incredibly happy with my life. However, for various reasons, I didn’t complete the path to professional practice until 2023 when I graduated with the Southern College of Homeopathy.

Since moving to Worthing, my nursing career has been based in theatres with a specialty in anaesthetics and recovery. At present, I am the happiest I have ever been, working two days a week as an Ophthalmic theatre nurse alongside my private homeopathic practice. I work at home or online via all the normal platforms: Zoom, FaceTime, and WhatsApp, and I am moving towards joining a practice in a multiple therapy clinic. Recent training in Biopuncture / Mesotherapy will allow me to offer techniques for both pain management and facial aesthetics as part of this new clinic. This is a service that I hope to launch in the spring of 2026.

My own personal health is greatly enhanced by going to the gym and swimming. I spend as much time as possible at my allotment or outside in nature and enjoy time with my family and friends. I also love textiles so I knit, crochet, and dress make. I love living by the sea and close to the South Downs. I genuinely believe that the challenges I have experienced in my life have led me to have enhanced compassion and empathy for others in difficulty. I feel that I am finally using natural talents alongside tools that I have acquired through training to help others on their path to wellness and creativity. It is an absolute joy to be finally able to do this work.

I am currently registered with the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths.
